Aaon’s modulating hot gas reheat allows you to control both temperature and humidity in the space whether there is a call for cooling or not. The primary components of the control system are a discharge air sensor, humidity sensor, reheat controller, modulating reheat valve, and discharge valve. Upon a call for dehumidification the discharge valve begins to close, and the reheat valve will begin to open. Both valves work in conjunction to properly balance the amount of refrigerant being sent to the reheat coil. Without both valves you cannot properly control the flow of refrigerant, resulting in large discharge temperature swings and fluctuating space humidity and temperature. The reheat controller will determine the position of the valves based off the supply air sensor setpoint (adjustable) to guarantee consistent dry, tempered air is delivered into the space at all conditions. |
